It is an empowering, transformative therapeutic process that combines psychotherapy, psychological models, energy work, spiritual practices, NLP, counselling, coaching, hypnotherapy and reiki mastership to provide a unique approach to healing, growth and transformation.
The REAL approach recognises personal experience and overwhelming emotions. It expands beyond the adult ego and conventional notions of Self to improve mental, physical and inner spiritual wellbeing. It pays particular attention to states of consciousness and individual belief systems. The essence of transpersonal approaches are embedded in holistic and spiritual values and considers individual ideas and creativity by exploring unexplained impulses and intuitions that do not necessarily fit into a rational picture of the human experience. It focuses on the ROOT of a presenting issue and explores and heals considerably deeper than conventional counselling methodologies.
When somebody reaches out for therapeutic coaching, emotional guidance or experiencing mental and physical health challenges, they usually need help ASAP. It is not appropriate for them to wait any longer than is necessary. I reserve a number of spaces each week to ensure individuals are seen within a few days whenever possible.
Absolutely, you are in the right place - transpersonal approaches validate and underpin spiritual experience and altered states of consciousness. It is recognised as a psychology science. There are exciting developments in the spiritual paradigm that integrate with psychological approaches such as the work of Jung, Maslow and Grof. Deep exploration and acknowledgement of subjective experience on the subject has created exciting developments and provided deep insights into the human experience and what sits outside, waiting to be proved.
The discovery session is recommended and will provide you with a deeper understanding of the therapeutic process. You will meet me online via a Zoom or Teams link and have time to ask me any questions. We will explore your individual requirements, objectives and expectations. It is the first step to take and tailored to your individual needs as you commence your therapeutic coaching journey.
The Discovery session is over Zoom or Teams only and subsequent sessions can be face-2-face or on-line - its your choice!
The thought of undergoing a therapeutic process can be daunting and overwhelming. I am here to make that process easier for you by removing any stigma associated with therapy. My approach is authentic, compassionate, caring and empathic. We will explore any difficulties you are experiencing. Once we start working together, I will provide you with a suitable pathway and appropriate therapeutic and coaching tools that can be integrated into real life.
Each and every person is unique. This is respected and worked with in accordance to individual needs, personal circumstances, expectations, experience and the level of difficulties you are experiencing. Your commitment is to yourself! I would recommend a block of six once you are happy to make a start and regular reviews are discussed openly and honestly. I believe in transparency and encourage authentic dialogue and engagement at all times.
A session with Real Life Therapy typically lasts for 60 minutes, although session length may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences. Longer sessions are available by request and can be really useful to gain momentum at the beginning of your self-commitment.
There are a number of ongoing concessional places available if you are in receipt of a state benefit, or currently a student in higher education and have an appropriate reference number or a student ID. Special rates are available with up to 50% discount.
Often new clients experience various kinds of counselling and therapeutic practices finding success and change for a time, but often feel there is something missing from the process and the effect is short term as often, it’s the symptom only that is identified and addressed. I work with and explore the root of an issue. The thought of undertaking any kind of therapy can be challenging and daunting. Its often, not the easiest route to take and can be emotionally challenging. Distraction and avoidance can feel much easier short-term but restricts personal growth and can keep you stuck. REAL Life therapy provides an empowering, holistic approach, respects individuality and applies the appropriate therapeutic tool for the difficulty. It extracts the root of an issue rather than applying a sticking plaster to the emotional wound or trauma.
The beginning of your journey starts with booking a 30 minute DISCOVERY session over Zoom. An opportunity to meet me and discuss personal objectives, where you are in life and any concerns and difficulties you may be experiencing. I will start work straight away if you are happy the thprocess is a good fit for you.
